With an interest in folklore and mythology, Tamia can appreciate a good story. Her love of writing began at age 6, where she started adding some color to her favorite children's stories via self-laminated picture books (thanks, mom!) and unpublished, original manuscripts. Her thing? Black Girl Magic. Literally! With two T.V. pilot scripts written and a fantasy podcast and feature screenplay in the works, Tamia is excited to continue developing her craft and collaborate with her peers! She is thrilled to officially embark on her filmmaking journey at the University of Texas at Austin, where she will complete her MFA in Radio-Television-Film with a specialization in Screenwriting.
Although her travels and interests bring her all around the world, her heart is with her home in the Philly suburbs of Lower Bucks. She earned her B.A. in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Pennsylvania.
