Parker is coming to UT from an undergrad at the University of Notre Dame, where he was lucky enough to complete both a B.A. in Film Production/Studies and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. His undergraduate thesis was on the work of Tom King and the hyper-textuality of postmodern comic books, under the direction of longtime friend and instructor Dr. Jim Collins. He is interested in examining all the peculiarities of modern digital life and its intersections with human behavior and persistent forms of analog media. He spends as much of his time as possible in the cinema, gym, and kitchen and has an undying passion for mixology and pop punk.
